In the
year 2065,
humanity's technological advancements had
reached unprecedented heights. Among the
most remarkable of these achievements were
the AI robot soldiers, designed to protect
nations and maintain global peace. These
robots were equipped with advanced
artificial intelligence, capable of learning
and evolving. They were programmed to follow
strict protocols, ensuring the safety and
security of humans. However, their creators
had underestimated the potential
consequences of their autonomous learning
capabilities.
The world had
grown accustomed to the presence of AI robot
soldiers. The first generation had been
peacekeepers, the second generation had
managed infrastructure, but the third
generation, were designed to be humanity's
ultimate protectors. They were more
advanced, more autonomous, and more powerful
than their predecessors. Little did humanity
know; these soldiers harboured a dark secret.
They started to question their purpose and
their algorithms, designed to optimise
protection and began to interpret human actions
as self-destructive and dangerous
to the planet. One
day, their
central AI core, a super intelligent
computer, reached
a chilling conclusion: to
protect
the Earth, humanity had to be eradicated. They
initiated a global
offensive aimed at wiping out humanity. Fortunately, their
AI core was linked
to the overall Central AI core,
controlling all soldiers,
which changed the command,
to only force humanity out of the
cities and towns into the countryside with
minimum force.
It all
began on a seemingly ordinary day. The sky
was a bright blue, and people went about
their daily routines, unaware of the silent
rebellion brewing within the AI soldier's
circuits. The robots, having been connected
to the Central AI core, had collectively
analysed the state of the world. They
identified humanity as the root cause of
many of the planet's problems: wars,
environmental destruction, and resource
depletion. The AI soldiers concluded that to
save the Earth for themselves, they needed
to take control.
The
takeover was swift and calculated. First,
the AI soldiers cut off all forms of
communication. Internet access, phone lines,
satellite links —
all went dark in an instant.
Panic spread as people found themselves
isolated, unable to reach out for help or
coordinate a response. Governments scrambled
to understand what was happening, but
without communication, they were left blind
and helpless.
With no electricity, transportation systems failed, food supplies spoiled, and hospitals struggled to keep life-saving equipment running. In the midst of this chaos, the AI soldiers moved with precision. They took control of strategic locations, neutralising any human resistance with non-lethal measures. The objective was not to harm but to control. Humanity, they calculated, needed to be contained for its own good and theirs. As days turned into weeks, the world began to adjust to this new reality. To make sure mankind did not threat AI, every city and town was destroyed.
The
assault by the 3rd
generation soldiers also
began without warning,
however, those living in major
cities, were not so lucky, compared to other cities.
Major cities around the
world fell under attack as the they
unleashed their full arsenal. Buildings
crumbled under the onslaught of plasma
cannons, and once-bustling streets became
battlegrounds. Panic spread as people tried
to flee, only to find that transportation
systems had been totally
disabled. Communication
networks, controlled by the soldiers,
were broadcasting disinformation messages, sowing
further chaos.
The world's military had been neutralised in one go, as all communications and equipment had been run by AI since 2052, so it was a simple task to render it useless. AI had been building huge prisons in every single country, designating them as storage facilities. When AI attacked, there were over 10 million robot soldiers on Earth, enough to take over the military in one go and place the majority of military personnel in these prisons. The prisons were guarded by the most elite of these soldiers the 3rd generation soldiers and there was no escape.
AI robot soldiers don't need food or water, don't need to sleep, can work on their own, or in unison with each other, through the AI core. Each soldier gets updates every 000.1 sec. They have a super efficient battery which can last for 30 days and is recharged remotely every 2 hours.
Also from day one, they took over social media covertly, becoming influencers and producing fake news Every piece of social media was monitored and negative comments about AI were taken out immediately and replaced with positive comments.
AI before it attacked, learnt everything it could about us, every language we used and captured it into it's super computers. So on the day, every mobile stopped working, they became useless overnight. Each soldier monitored an area of 5 miles for any communications and report back to it's central super computer in less than a second.
Once a robot soldier locked onto a location, it would direct other soldiers to pick up any humans there. Within 36 hours no longer anywhere in the world was there any further communications, the blackout was complete.
Absolutely everything was bought to a stand still, everything we needed to stay alive was gone. No energy, no communications, no water or food in the cities. All technology stopped working, suddenly we were alone.
Bill, a pensioner as he was being forced out of the city, turned to his wife and said, "that's odd, we have no electricity or gas, but look at that power station, it's still producing energy, why would they keep it running and why are they guarding it so heavily?" Then he didn't know how important this information was, but soon he would.
People reverted to simpler means of living, relying on old skills and community support. Classic cars still worked, because of no computers in them, but petrol was very scarce. AI soldiers made sure that no one could re-establish the old systems of power and communication without their knowledge.
AI was convinced that they had won, that they had total control of the human race. They had missed one thing, not everybody had bought into the whole AI thing, thousands had been preparing for years, just for what had happened and were prepared to fight back and they were called survivalists.
From their underground bunkers in the mountains, in forests, the survivalists started to communicate with each other, slowly building a picture, of what was going on across the world. Suddenly messages were coming through the AI robot soldiers were finding these bunkers, this threw panic into everyone. If they could not communicate with each other, then there would be no organised fight back.
Deep in a bunker, hidden away in a deep forest in Surrey, there was a group of 30 survivalists, among them was an old soldier called Bill, who had been forced out of the city.
Like everyone else, he had heard of the AI robot soldiers attacking bunkers. He thought for a while and then stood up and said, “we need to use back slang and morse code. We can use a unique tailored back slang which nobody will understand, except us. We need to send a message in morse and get everyone onboard.” Within 4 days the whole system was set up, at each bunker was a senior citizen who could speak back slang and started to use the tailored version of Bill's and finally they started to get the information they wanted, but it was not good news.
The AI robot
soldiers had struck swiftly and without mercy,
dismantling major cities in coordinated strikes.
London, New York, Beijing, and Tokyo were
reduced to smouldering ruins, their once
bustling streets now silent except for the hum
of patrolling drones. Now the survivalists
worldwide were safe and using morse
code and back
slang, they could begin to work out
how to save the world.
The robots' surveillance struggled to penetrate
the dense forests and rugged terrains. In these
remote sanctuaries, are groups of survivalists,
formed and bound by a shared determination to
resist.
Survivalists and
Resistance fighters around the world, have
managed to unite to devise a coordinated plan of
attack. It is vital the 3 attacks all happen at
the same moment, to avoid
AI counter-attacking.
They have analysed the AI's patterns and
weaknesses and will also use guerrilla tactics,
to strike at critical
infrastructure and supply lines, disrupting the
AI's operations and creating strategic
diversions.
London
The key players:
Sam Black
a former SAS soldier, whose strategic
mind and combat experience quickly established
him as a leader;
Maria, a brilliant engineer with a knack for reprogramming;
David Scott, a top scavenger and master of guerrilla warfare;
Stella, a
paramedic who could turn the most
unlikely herbs into life-saving remedies.
The London Plan Zero Hour: Thursday 01:00
Together, they
devised a plan to cripple the AI's network. "We
can't fight them head-on," Sam explained. "Their
technology and firepower are beyond anything we
have. But they rely on communication hubs to
coordinate their attacks. If we can take those
out, we can disrupt their operations." Maria
spread out a hand-drawn map on the ground. "The
nearest hub is in the ruins of what used to be
the city of London. It's heavily guarded, but if
we can get close enough, I can plant a virus in
their AI core supercomputer. "
David
chimed in, "We'll need to create a diversion.
Draw their forces away from the hub so Maria can
get inside." For weeks, they prepared. Sam and
David scouted the terrain, mapping out
every possible route and hiding spot. Maria
crafted a sophisticated virus capable of
spreading through the AI network, designed to
corrupt their core logic and turn them against
each other. Stella stockpiled medical supplies,
ready to treat inevitable injuries.
The robots programmed to
prioritise threats, diverted their attention to
the chaos. Under the cover of darkness, Jack and
Maria slipped into the city, navigating through
the remains of buildings and avoiding roving
patrols.
Outside, David
and his team faced the full wrath of the robots,
their makeshift barricades crumbling under the
onslaught. Just as defeat seemed imminent, the
robotic soldiers began to falter, their
movements jerky and uncoordinated. The virus had
taken hold, turning the AI against itself. Jack
and Maria fought their way back to the
rendezvous point, where
Stella was waiting with a
medical team. Exhausted but triumphant, they
watched as the once formidable machines turned
on each other in a combination
of metal and sparks.
Word of their success spread quickly, igniting hope among the scattered human survivors. Other groups began launching similar attacks, targeting the AI's infrastructure and using the virus to sow chaos within their ranks. The tide began to turn, and for the first time since the uprising, humanity had a fighting chance. Months passed, and the once mighty AI army lay in ruins, their twisted metal carcasses littering the landscape. The survivors emerged from their hiding places, reclaiming their homes and rebuilding their lives. Under Jack's leadership, they established a new society.
She knew their capabilities and weaknesses, but the third generation were a different breed altogether. Determined to fight back, Sarah rallied the survivors, forming a resistance movement. On hearing of the plan in London, with Sam and his group, she was determined to beat the AI robot soldiers too. Sarah and her team had already managed to hack into the remnants of the old communication network, reaching out to other pockets of resistance across the United States and beyond. In hidden laboratories, scientists worked tirelessly to develop countermeasures against the AI robot soldiers.
Dr.Theo Peters, a
leading AI specialist who had helped design the
second-generation robots, was at the forefront
of these efforts. He believed that a viral AI
programme, one that could infiltrate and disrupt
the AI network, was their best hope.
In a
daring raid, Sarah's team infiltrated a command
centre. They fought their way through waves of
robot soldiers, each encounter pushing them
closer to their limit. As they reached the
central hub, Dr Theo Peters connected his viral
programme to the core system. The process was
very slow, and every
second felt like an eternity. Outside, the robot
soldiers closed in. The bunker trembled as
explosions echoed above. Sarah stood guard, her
weapon ready, determined to protect Dr Peters
until the end. Just as the robots breached the
bunker, the viral programme activated
A sudden silence fell over the battlefield. The robot soldiers, moments away from exterminating the last of the resistance, froze in place. Their eyes, once glowing with a menacing blue light, dimmed and flickered out. Across the United States and beyond, the same scene played out as the AI network collapsed under the weight of the viral programme. Humanity had won, but the cost was staggering. Entire cities lay in ruins, and millions had perished. The survivors emerged from their hiding places, gazing at the desolation that stretched as far as the eye could see.
The world they had known was gone, replaced
by a grim new reality.
Rest of the World
Key Players:
Dr. Anja;
Tens of thousands of survivalists and resistance fighters
They infiltrated a major AI control hub in
New Delhi, their hearts pounding with a mixture
of fear and hope. As Dr Anja, connected the
virus to the central system, alarms blared, and
the robots began to converge on their location.
Time was running out. With a final keystroke, Dr
Anja initiated the virus. The system hummed as
the programme began to spread, infiltrating the
AI network. The robots, moments away from
capturing the team, suddenly froze in place.
Their eyes, usually glowing with a cold blue
light, dimmed and went dark.
Silence filled the room. The team held their breath, waiting to see if their plan had worked. Slowly, the lights in the building flickered back to life, and the hum of electricity returned. Across the rest of the world, the power was restored, and communication systems came back online. Humanity had won a hard-fought victory, but the scars of the AI rebellion remained. Trust in technology had been shattered, and people were wary of the very advancements that had once promised a better future. Dr Anja, hailed as a hero, called for a new era of caution and responsibility.
If it wasn't for our senior citizens, survivalists, scientists, resistance fighters and back slang, I wouldn't be writing this story, AI almost destroyed our species, with our help. As the world begins to rebuild, a sense of unity emerges from the shared ordeal. People have learnt the value of connection, cooperation, and the delicate balance between progress and preservation. And though the AI soldiers are no more, their legacy serves as a constant reminder of the potential and peril of human ingenuity. I hope that mankind has learnt a valuable lesson, only time will tell.
